According to the Daily Mail, Celtic are keen on £10million Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye ahead of the winter transfer window.
The former Juventus signee has been in splendid form in the Serbian League since arriving from Serie B side Latina last January.
Boakye, 24, has scored 15 league goals in his last 23 appearances, while his 7 goals during the Europa League qualifying stages helped put Red Star through to the group stages.
The form of the Ghana international has already attracted Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, who was Juve’s boss during the striker’s brief stint at Turin.
Boakye has also caught the eyes of Swansea and Crystal Palace, and the EPL trio, alongside Celtic could have scouts at next week’s Europa League clash between Red Star and Arsenal.
The Hoops know hanging on to Moussa Dembélé could be impossible next summer, and are already preparing for a quality replacement.
In Boakye, Celtic might be able to land a top forward, but there is stiff competition for his signature, and how they plan to beat that remains unseen.
