Match Preview
Trinidad & Tobago gas proven to be the weakest team in this hexagonal stage of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers. The island nation is currently bottom of the group with only three points and has a disastrous goal differential of negative 13. The Caribbean side’s only win in this hexagonal phase did come at home against Panama but this should be a much tougher task against a more formidable side.
The United States is still in danger of possibly not qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup currently in third with 12 points. Only one direct spot to the 2018 FIFA World Cup is left and Panama and Honduras are not far from the Americans with 10 points.
Bruce Arena’s team does have a solid goal differential at five that will most likely secure a spot in the next World Cup with just a draw. This game is set to be a huge mismatch but it should still be interesting and intense given the magnitude of the three points for the Americans.
