According to French source L’Equipe, the loan deal of Jordan Amavi from Aston Villa to Marseille has been switched to a permanent deal.
Amavi joined the Villains in 2015 from French club Nice and went on to make 48 appearances for the club.
He was given permission to speak to other clubs during the summer transfer window after the club signed Neil Taylor and ended up moving to Marseille on a season long loan deal. He has so far impressed with the French outfit and helped them to third place on the Ligue 1 standings.
His form has even seen him gain a call up to the French national team as cover for injured PSG defender Layvin Kurzawa.
L’Equipe added that there was the loan deal stipulated that Amavi could be bought permanently if he made three appearances this season.
He has already achieved that and Marseille are expected to pay Villa a fee in the region of £10 million to sign him permanently.
