According to Calciomercato (via Ghanasoccernet), West Ham are keeping tabs on Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah ahead of the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old Ghana international is stalling on extending his contract at Turin beyond the end of next season, and could be available for a move when the winter market opens.
Turkish giants Galatasaray are also keen on Asamoah, and are said to be readying a £3.35m bid in order to edge out competition for his signature come January.
The former Udinese man has been a regular in Juve’s starting XI due to his versatility; as he can also play brilliantly well at left-back and left wing-back.
West Ham’s struggles at these positions are well highlighted, and they could do with a quality addition in the Ghanaian.
Asamoah played 24 games as the Old Lady won a 6th successive Scudetto and the Coppa Italia last term, and has played thrice thus far this season.
Landing him will be a great coup for the Hammers, but doing so won’t be an easy feat with more suitors bound to enter the race for his signature soon.
