Match Preview

Nigeria is undefeated, leading Group B with 10 points and a very impressive goal differential of seven. The Super Eagles are coming off a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Cameroon but have had some impressive results in the competition like a 4-0 win over Cameroon and a 3-1 victory against Algeria.

Salisu Yusuf counts with a very solid side featuring players like Ahmed Musa, Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho. Nigeria does have the better squad and should be able to pick up the three points from the game but it could still prove to be a tough match.

Zambia has done surprisingly well in these qualifiers, currently second in Group B with seven points, just three points back of Nigeria in first. The Copper Bullets have won their last two games in the qualifiers, most recently coming off a 1-0 away win against Algeria.

Most of the Southern African side’s players play domestically and this should be an extremely tough game for the visiting team. The game should still be very intense and exciting with both teams eager to come away with the three points from the game.
