Newcastle legend Alan Shearer has said that Harry Kane will not be happy after being substituted during his team’s 4-0 win over Huddersfield on Saturday. The 24-year-old Kane scored a brace to continue his good run of form.
Ben Davies and Mousa Sissoko also managed to find the back of the net to complete the rout for Spurs. Kane was taken off the pitch by Mauricio Pochettino and replaced by Heung-Son Min, seemingly to avoid the risk of injury.
Shearer now feels that Kane will be disappointed at being taken off as he was denied the opportunity to score a hat-trick.
Shearer took to social media platform Twitter and said after the game, “Harry Kane can’t be happy being taken off again when a hat-trick was on the cards, but I am.”
Kane has now scored 11 goals this season in all competitions, several of which came during his last three matches against West Ham, APOEL and Huddersfield.
