Klopp reveals what Liverpool’s stunning attack are missing

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that his world class attack needs to find more synergy together after they played out to a disappointing 1-1 draw with Spartak Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The match marked the first time that the Reds had played the deadly attacking quartet of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho together and most observes would have predicted an easy win for the Reds.

Though Coutinho did manage to find the back of the net, the aforementioned players wasted their fair share of opportunities to consign Klopp’s men to a disappointing draw which means that they have now taken two points from two games in the Champions League following their draw with Sevilla two weeks ago.

Klopp revealed that he thinks that the quartet needs to work on their partnership. He said, “For the next game, we will have to see how the players are tomorrow morning when we leave the plane, but it’s good when you have all of these players around.

“It’s not lining up the players and then you hope something will happen, they all need rhythm, need to be in a good shape and all that stuff. It was a very intense game.

“For me, it’s never about the names, it’s about how we can perform and in some moments we performed as good as possible and in a lot of moments not.

“We have to keep on working, that’s how it is – we have to carry on, we have to create, we have to protect, we have to defend and then to score. Obviously we didn’t score often enough tonight and that’s a fact, but let’s go on.”
