West Ham vice-chairperson Karren Brady has made a shock revelation that she will be supporting her clubs London rivals Tottenham in the Premier League title race this season.
Spurs have narrowly missed out on winning the Premiership for the past two consecutive seasons. In 2015-16 they lost out to surprise winners Leicester City before falling short off Chelsea last season.
Realistically the Hammers do not have a side that will compete for Premier League honors and based on the way that they are currently playing, survival could even be a battle this season.
Brady has now admitted that she is impressed by the work that Spurs have been doing and revealed that she will be backing them to win the title this season. She said, “I admit I am jealous of the current Spurs side.
“Not only for their consistently watchable style of play but for unearthing several of the country’s most accomplished young players
“The cock should be crowing for Spurs. Newly resplendent in a year’s time, White Hart Lane will ring in their name, as always.
“I’d rather like to see them upset the foreign spendthrifts and do it (win the Premier League title).”
