Simon Grayson confident of turning Sunderland’s fortunes around

Stadium of Light

Sunderland boss Simon Grayson has insisted that he still has control of the club despite its poor form.

The Black Cats currently lie in the drop zone of the Championship with six points from nine games and prior to their match against Ipswich, had only won one League game thus far this season.

Despite the club having endured bad fortunes thus far, Grayson has said that turning the clubs fortunes around is not an impossible task and said, “I’m getting an understanding of what this job entails and what comes with the territory.

“I don’t compare myself with previous managers. We’re all very different working under different circumstances. Some have been foolish in what they’ve done while some have been unlucky. Hopefully, I’m a lucky one and a good one who can turn things around.”

Judging by the way that they are currently playing, Championship survival may be a difficult task for the Black Cats this season. Grayson will also know that the club’s form will need to improve or he could get sacked in the near future.
