Joey Barton speaks regarding whether West Ham should keep Bilic

Joey Barton has revealed that he thinks that West Ham United should stick with manager Slaven Bilic at least until January.

The Croatian boss Bilic has come under criticism after the Hammers have taken just four points from their opening six games of the Premier League season and therefore, he is currently the favorite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked.

The Hammers were consigned to their fourth defeat of the Premier League this weekend as they went down 3-2 against Tottenham. Despite the defeat, the Hammers delivered a competitive display against one of the best teams in England.

Despite the poor start for West Ham, Barton opined that he feels that the East London club should keep their manager at least until January.

He said, “I don’t think there’s any point in sacking managers before January. He’s bought players in Bilic, you might as well let him coach them to the best of his ability.”

West Ham did show some fighting qualities to come back from 3-0 down against Spurs to pull the scoreline back to 3-2, but it was not enough.
