West Ham handed double injury boost ahead of Burnley clash

West Ham’s fears over a long-term injury scare for English forward Michail Antonio have been allayed.

The powerful winger was forced off 28 minutes into the defeat against Tottenham on Saturday with what appeared to be a groin injury, and manager Slaven Bilic confirmed post-match that scans would be carried out to determine how long he would sit out of action.

However, Claret&Hugh claims the injury isn’t a damaging as earlier thought, with an inside source from West Ham telling them: “He should be okay after seven days and available for the game at Turf Moor. It’s a big relief as obviously it was worrying.”

Argentine winger Manuel Lanzini is also set to return after the international break, though he has a slim chance of making the squad against Swansea next weekend.

The 24-year-old has only seen action for 45 minutes this season, but is going through his paces at the club’s training facilities in order to get back to full fitness.

The underfire Bilic will be keen to have the attacking duo back on time, as they are capable of dragging West Ham out of the mire that have seen them win just once this Premier League season.
