Tottenham boss Pochettino makes worrying admission about star’s fitness

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that he does not know how long Mousa Dembele will be out of action and added that the midfielder will have to check on the midefielder every day after he missed the Lilywhites game against West Ham on Saturday.

The Belgian underwent an operation during the summer to rectify a problem in his foot and admitted that he does not know if he will ever be 100% fit again.

Pochettino has admitted that he does not know for how long his club will be without Dembele and said, “We’ll see now.

“We need to assess in the next few days. We don’t know if it’s possible for him to be available to go to Cyprus [to face APOEL Nicosia in the Champions League].”

Dembele has so far played a limited role for the club this season while Mousa Sissoko has been filling in. The Frenchman has been churning out some impressive performances after failing to impress last season.
