Former Everton and Aston Villa star Gareth Barry has revealed his plans for his retirement.
The 36-year-old Barry is set to make his 633rd appearance for the Villains when they face off against West Brom on Monday and this will see him usurp Ryan Giggs as the player with the most appearances in the Premier League.
He revealed his plans for when he calls time on his career and said, “Skiing will definitely be the No.1 thing for me to do, once I’m retired.
“My mates are always going away at February or March time on a skiing trip and I’m like, ‘Ooh, I wouldn’t mind doing that’.”
Despite being in his late 30’s Barry is still hungry as ever to play first team football and left Everton during the summer to join West Brom to ensure that he can play as regularly as possible.
The squad revamp which the Toffees did during the summer meant that Barry would have likely been a squad rotation player had he remained.
