Graham Dorrans explains what cost Rangers against Celtic

Rangers star Graham Dorrans has admitted that mistakes on either side of the pitch cost his team dearly during their defeat to Old Firm rivals Celtic this weekend.

Tom Rogic and Leigh Griffiths netted during the second half to clinch a comfortable win for the Bhoys who are already now eight points ahead of the Gers on the Scottish Premiership standings.

Dorrans revealed that his team are disappointed, saying, “Obviously we’re disappointed. In the first half I thought we matched them. They had a few early chances but we stayed in the game.

“We came out second half and they scored within five minutes which knocks us a little bit but we got back in the game and pushed on, we had a good chance from Alfredo.

“They made a good save, with a bit of luck that goes in and the game changes. But it didn’t and they went on to get the second goal which kills us a little bit. Overall we’re bitterly disappointed.

The positives which Rangers can take from the match is that they did challenge their counterparts for spells during the game though the loss proves that they still have plenty of hard work to do if they wish to once again become giants of the Scottish game.
