According to reports, Everton and Chelsea are interested in signing Edinson Cavani from PSG.
The Uruguay international Cavani had a rift with team-mate Neymar during his team’s 2-0 win over Lyon during the weekend.
Considering that the player also had an issue with former star Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the French giants a few years ago, he may feel that the time is right for a new challenge.
Cavani will not be short of options should he opt to leave but if that happens; he will have to take a pay cut.
The 30-year-old currently earns £120,000 a week and if he leaves the club, he will expect to be first choice striker wherever he goes. That could be difficult at Chelsea with Alvaro Morata doing well so far. Everton may also put him off as it will be unlikely that they can offer him Champions League football.
Meanwhile, other clubs that are said to be interested in Cavani are Juventus, Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund.
