All eyes will be on the new Rangers side when they face Celtic at home on Saturday, and considering the visitors inflicted a 5-1 defeat on the hosts the last time they came to town, the first Old Firm clash of the season is a true test of their growth since April.
The Gers are 5 points behind the Bhoys after 6 league games, and anything less than a win could all but end their slimmest of a title chance.
Celtic have been free-scoring this term and they come into the clash with a record 56 domestic games without a loss.
No side has scored more than the 16 the Parkhead outfit have managed thus far, and a Rangers defence that has conceded 8 goals – the most of the top 4 teams, must be water-tight if they are to keep the visitors out.
Goalkeeper Wes Foderingham thinks that’s possible as the new rearguard is better than it used to be.
However, the former Crystal Palace believes things can be better. Speaking during the pre-Old Firm press conference, Foderingham claimed: “The new back four is playing well defensively but we still have plenty room to improve.
“The fact we have only had around 11 shots on target against us is testament to the work of the defence”
