Celtic travel to Ibrox on Saturday to face Old Firm bitter rivals Rangers in the 7th round of the Scottish Premiership Football League for the new season.
The Hoops lead 3rd-placed Gers by 5 points, and can all but kill the hosts’ title chances with a win.
Celtic won 3 and drew 1 of all league clashes between both sides last term, with the last result being a 5-1 drubbing at Ibrox.
Repeating such complete dominance against a Rangers side that strengthened heavily over the summer could be a very hard feat for the Bhoys this term.
Gers boss Pedro Caixinha went about overhauling his squad, and was satisfied with business done during the window, as he quickly labelled his new squad the best as early as August.
Many believe Rangers could spring up a surprise this term and finally wrestle power away from Celtic.
Manager Brendan Rodgers once remarked that Rangers outspent Celtic during the summer transfer, but when asked if that could enable the Ibrox outfit to become more challenging this season, the Northern Irishman replied: “We’ll see”.
Saturday would perhaps give the best answer.
