According to reports, Everton are interested in Uruguayan youngster Federico Martinez, who plays for local side Liverpool.
After breaking into his team’s first team, Martinez has reportedly attracted the attention of many teams across Europe and has drawn comparisons to Angel Di Maria.
Everton are currently leading the chase to sign the player though they could begin to face more pressure as time progresses.
The Toffees have developed a good reputation in terms of how they work with young talent since Ronald Koeman became manager of the club and this is something that could appeal to the player.
Martinez has been impressive thus far this season since breaking into his club’s first team. He has managed to net twice from 15 games, one of which came against Penarol, who are a major club within Uruguay. He will likely leave his homeland during the near future.
