Tottenham striker Llorente makes encouraging admission

Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente has revealed that he thinks that his side’s Wembley frustrations will not continue for long.

The North London club are utilizing Wembley Stadium for purposes of playing their home matches for this season as the await the completion of their new home ground which is set to be ready for use before the start of next season.

After drawing 0-0 against Swansea, they are yet to win a game at Wembley in the Premier League this season having lost to Chelsea and drawing against Burnley previously.

They did manage to defeat Borussia Dortmund at Wembley in a Champions League during the week and while, that would have given Mauricio Pochettino hope that his side could have delivered on the day , it did not come into fruition.

Despite a lot of fans being frustrated, Llorente is confident that his side will eventually find their way and said, “Games like today can happen because one team defends with a lot of players and defends well. It can happen.

“All the games will not happen like today. If Harry Kane scores when the ball touches the post we are speaking about other things. We have to continue to work and nothing more.

“Winning at Wembley is very important. In the beginning we have found some difficulties but we have to continue to work in this way. On Wednesday we played a very good match here and this is the way forward for us.”
