According to reports, Tottenham could be set to make a move for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes during the January transfer window.
Gomes appears to have no future at the Catalan giants after being deemed surplus to requirements by manager Ernesto Valderde.
Therefore, Spurs could be set to make an offer for the services of Gomes during the January transfer window.
The player could be tempted by an offer from Mauricio Pochettino’s club as it will offer him a better opportunity of playing in the World Cup next summer.
Spurs have reportedly been tipped off that Gomes could be made available for transfer during the January transfer window and that Barcelona may let him go cheaply in order to offload him for a price that is little as €25 million.
Should Spurs opt to buy Gomes then they may cool their interest in Everton star Ross Barkley, for whom they may face increased competition.
