Rangers missed the chance to temporarily go top of the Scottish Premiership league table on Friday after failing to beat 10-man Partick Thistle.
As a result of their 2-2 draw at the Firhill Stadium, the Gers now find themselves 5 points behind Celtic heading into next Saturday’s Old Firm derby, as the defending champions saw off Ross County 4-nil on Saturday.
Rangers were heavy favorites going into Friday’s clash against a side yet to win any of their 6 games this term.
More so considering manager Pedro Caixinha’s squad overhauling during the summer window – one that led him to claim Rangers have the best squad in Scotland.
Failure to pick up all 3 points against the league minnows has seen former Celtic striker John Hartson mock Caixinha.
The ex-Arsenal man tweeted thus:
Best squad in Scotland ??????

Hartson was also quick to heap praises on the Jags for their performance after goalscorer Chris Erskine got sent off 23 minutes away from time.
Rangers now have their work as they attempt to once again close down the gap between them and Celtic, as a loss could end up leaving them with more ground to cover.
