Former Leeds United player Seth Johnson has revealed that he feels that his former club will need to be consistent if they wish to win promotion to the Premier League this season.
Johnson said about his former side, “I think they’re in a similar position to Derby. If they can get in the play-offs, they can go up.
“You need consistency and if they don’t get it, they’ll finish mid-table. I think Leeds will have a great season and should aim for promotion this year.”
The Whites narrowly missed out on a place in the promotion playoffs last season after finishing in seventh position on the Championship standings. They will be aiming to better last season’s performances and win a place in the top flight this season.
The Whites have started this season in good form under Thomas Christiansen after having won four of their opening six League fixtures and they currently occupy second position on the standings.
The Yorkshire giants are playing confident football at the moment and if they manage to maintain this then they will have a strong chance of winning promotion.
