Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has said that his side hold no fear of PSG ahead of their Champions League encounter against the French giants on Tuesday.
Though Celtic won the domestic treble undefeated last season, many still question their quality and this will be a perfect opportunity for them to prove their doubters wrong.
The Bhoys will be required to handle the threat of the world’s most expensive player Neymar as well as French starlet Kylian Mbappe and the experienced Uruguayan Edinson Cavani.
Rodgers has now claimed ahead of the game that his side have learnt from their Champions League campaign of last season where they played in a difficult group alongside Barcelona and Manchester City and he said that they will aim to play positively against PSG.
He said, “What we’ve learned from our first game of the Champions League last year is that we’re not going to be as passive.
“They’re (PSG) a world away from where we’re at in terms of finances but it’s going to be an incredible night.
“It’s the first game of the Champions League against one of the great teams now of the competition, it will be another special night at Celtic Park.
“We’ll look forward to the challenge and we’ll recover well and prepare well for it.”
In addition to PSG, the Scottish Champions are in a difficult Champions League group which includes Bayern Munich and Anderlecht.
