25-year-old admits he is keen on Leeds United move next summer

Pierre- Michel Lassogga has revealed that he is hoping to join Leeds on a permanent deal next summer. The 25-year-old Lassogga joined the Whites on deadline day on a season long loan deal from German club Hamburg.

After being deemed surplus to requirements at Hamburg, Lassogga has opted for life in the English Championship this season and seems to have enjoyed his brief time at Elland Road so far.

Lassogga has now already stated that he hopes to taste Premier League football with Leeds and said, “It’s my first time in England. I spent all my time in Germany but now I’ll try my best here.

“It’s been a dream since I was a small boy to play in England and also in the Premier League. Maybe we’ll get the chance to go up into the Premier League and then we’ll see what happens next year with me. Maybe I can play here with Leeds in the Premier League.”

There is no doubt that he will be provided with plenty of opportunities to showcase his ability by Thomas Christiansen this season, especially after the Yorkshire giants sold striker Chris Wood to Premier League club Burnley.

The player is also aware that Leeds could offer him the chance to play in the Premier League should they launch a promotion push this season.

The Whites currently occupy third position on the Championship standings with 11 points from five games and should they carry on their good form, there will be a strong chance that they can manage to push for promotion.
