Tottenham reportedly to take harsh treatment with their own player

According to reports, Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen is set to be frozen out of the club after rejecting opportunities to leave the club during the transfer window.

Much was expected of the Dutch international following his arrival from AZ last summer, however he failed to hit the ground running and scored just six goals in all competitions from 35 games for the club.

A number of clubs including West Bromwich Albion, Stoke City and Brighton and Hove Albion attempted to sign Janssen during the transfer window though he opted to remain at the Lillywhites.

The 23-year-old Janssen is also likely to fall further down the pecking order at Spurs following the arrival of Fernando Llorente from Swansea.

Janssen will be unlikely to play much and was left out of the team’s squad that will compete in the Champions League and he will likely also end up leaving the club during the January transfer window.
