Former Sunderland, Manchester United and Everton boss David Moyes is reportedly eyeing a return to management in the near future. Moyes has been without a job since resigning from his position at the Black Cats in May.

He endured a disastrous spell with the Black Cats last season, which saw the club finishing in last position in the Premiership standings and being relegated to the Championship.

Though the Scottish manager was viewed as being largely impressive whilst managing Everton, his less successful spells with the likes of United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland have tarnished his reputation.

The Scotsman also was largely criticized last season after threatening to slap BBC Reporter Vicki Sparks after she asked him if his job with Sunderland was under threat.

Moyes however still believes that he has a solid reputation and said, “I think my last game was 499 games as a Premier League manager. I’ve maybe got 880 or 890 as a manager in total. I think my record will stand up as well as anybody’s.”
