According to popular bookmakers PaddyPower, former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has emerged as the 11/2 second favorite to replace Slaven Bilic as manager of West Ham should the Croatian end up losing his job.
The 5/2 favorite to take over the job should it be made available is Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez.
Benitez is said to be frustrated at the Magpies board after they did not grant him sufficient capital to make new investments this summer and he may be tempted by an offer to manage the East London club.
The Hammers have started the new season on poor form after losing their first three games in succession and conceding ten goals in the process. Should they lose to Huddersfield next Monday, it will be difficult to see Bilic lasting long.
Many fans of the club also called for Bilic to be sacked last season after the Hammers finished in a disappointing 11th place in the Premier League and his job has long been under scrutiny.
