Match Preview
Norway has a really slim chance of qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup currently fifth in Group C with only four points. The Nordic side is nine points back of Northern Ireland in second and would need to win this game to keep that slim chance alive. Norway only has one win but does have a much better squad than Azerbaijan that should get the three points from this game especially with the home-field advantage.
Azerbaijan has exceeded expectations currently fourth in Group C with seven points from six games. The Southeastern European side defeated Norway 1-0 at home the last time the two teams played each other but this could be a much tougher task away from home. Most of Azerbaijan’s squad does play domestically in a league that is not very competitive. However, this game should be a very contested encounter between two teams that still have a chance at qualifying for the next World Cup.
