England boss makes his stance on Joe Hart clear

Joe Hart

England manager Gareth Southgate has praised West Ham goalkeeper Joe Hart and revealed that he feels that the 30-year-old is still the countries best shot-stopper.

Hart does not have the highest of confidence and he has conceded 10 goals from just three Premier League games with the Hammers this season as Slaven Bilic’s men have failed to pick up a point in the Premier League yet.

As a result of this, speculation emerged suggesting that Hart could be set to lose his position as first choice shot-stopper for the Three Lions.

To further fuel the speculation, Jack Butland and Tom Heaton, also played each half during England’s most recent game which was a friendly against France in June.

Whilst talking about Hart though, Southgate praised him by saying, “I believe he’s our best goalkeeper at the moment.”

Hart will certainly take heart from this and it remains to be seen whether the words of the England boss will help rejuvenate his performances on the field.
