Wantaway Sunderland man reportedly attracting interest from Turkey

According to reports, Turkish club Alanyaspor are keen to sign Sunderland winger Whabi Khazri. Khazri has already publicly indicated that he wishes to leave the Black Cats this summer.

It is in the best interests that he leaves before transfer deadline day especially considering that the Black Cats are also in need of funds following their relegation from the Premier League last season.

The player recently had said about his future, “In my head, I want to leave. I am open to listening to offers and projects and above all I am looking for a project that allows me to kick-start and enjoy life on the pitch”.

Khazri was criticized for appearing to be strolling with coffee in his hand ahead of his team’s 3-0 defeat at the hand of Barnsley last weekend.  Khazri joined the Black Cats in January 2016 and scored two goals to help the club avoid relegation that year.

He moved down the pecking order at the club last season under David Moyes and it also looks like Simon Grayson does not hold him in high-esteem.
