Big blow for Newcastle United as star charged by the FA

Newcastle United striker Aleksander Mitrovic has been charged by the FA with violent conduct after appearing to elbow Manuel Lanzini during the Magpies 3-0 victory over West Ham in the Premier League last weekend.

Mitrovic scored the final goal of the game to score his first Premier League goal of the season but before his strike, he was caught on camera elbowing into Lanzini.

The striker could now be set to face a ban due to his reckless elbow, which was missed by referee Neil Swarbrick. Mitrovic will likely end up pleading guilty to the charge as the incident was quite clear-cut.

Mitrovic is still a young player and hopefully he can learn from this incident and never do it again. The 22-year-old definitely deserves the punishment that will be coming and will have to use it as a learning experience as such behavior is certainly very immature.

He should have known better as a professional footballer and the absence of Mitrovic, which is likely to come for the Magpies due to a ban, also means that the club may be hampered in terms of their attacking prowess.
