Tottenham star Ben Davies has said that his team need to learn to win more ugly.
The North London club were denied their first victory at Wembley Stadium this weekend as Chris Wood scored in second half stoppage time to consign them to a 1-1 draw against Burnley.
Davies claims that his club only have themselves to blame and need to perform the dirty work to get work done.
Spurs will have to play all their home games at Wembley this season and they will have to adapt to the surroundings quickly if they want to once again challenge for the Premier League crown this season.
Following the game, full-back Davies said, “It’s disappointing to concede late in the game. We should have managed the game better. We need to learn our lessons quickly.
“I just think we need to be a bit more streetwise at times and slow the game down. It’s not always about going for the second goal, we need to slow it down and go for the corners a bit more.”
