Liverpool reportedly could lose out-of-favour 22-year-old to fellow title contenders before deadline day

With Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp having recently admitted that Belgian forward Divock Origi could leave the club on a temporary basis this summer, Tottenham appear to be willing to make a last-minute summer move for the 22-year-old, as per TMW.

Origi has 2 more seasons on his current Anfield deal, and while the Reds are considering a contract extension, the Anderlecht and Olympique Marseille target might be open to an exit in order to boost his Russia 2018 World Cup chances.

Liverpool first-choice attacking trio, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino have had an explosive start to the new campaign, scoring 7 EPL goals in between them thus far, and further establishing themselves as long-term mainstays in the process.

Danny Sturridge also appears to have become Klopp’s first option off the bench, while the presences of Dominic Solanke and Danny Ings would only further limit Origi’s playing minutes.

Thus far, he has only seen action for 10 minutes in the Premier League, and Tottenham could offer to offer him more playing chances in order to lure him to Wembley.

Spurs have little or no competition for Harry Kane in the form of last summer arrival Vincent Janssen, who has failed to impress.

While Liverpool might be wary of selling to a direct title rival or letting him go on a permanent basis, remaining in the topflight and also playing in the Champions League might be attractive to Origi.

Should he leave before Friday and somehow forces himself into the first team plans of Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino going forward, Liverpool might as well forget about Origi returning from a north London loan as it could prove to be greener on the other side.
