Tony Cascarino has said that he can see that West Ham captain Mark Noble is struggling in the middle of the pitch.
The Hammers have so far been in poor form in the Premier League having lost all three of their games thus far. Nobl,e who was widely criticized last season, appears to have failed to find form this term as well.
The 30-year-old Noble failed to prevent Newcastle from cutting through the pitch this weekend as the Magpies went on to defeat his team 3-0 through goals from Joselu, Ciaran Clarke and Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Noble has a close association with the club as he is a boyhood product and has over 400 appearances under his belt.
However he clearly appears to be struggling to cope with the demands of the Premier League and it remains to be seen if he will ever regain his ability to compete at the highest level.
Cascarino said, “I feel sorry for Mark Noble. I think him being the local lad from Canning Town in West Ham’s first team could start to count against him.
“He’s the club captain and his commitment is unquestionable, but he’s struggling in central midfield. He’s finding it hard to get around the pitch and I wonder if he might be carrying an injury.”
