According to reports, Crystal Palace are keen on signing West Ham defender Jose Fonte.
Since joining the Hammers in January, Fonte has struggled to make an impact at the club, who are said to now be open to moving him on.
The veteran has started just one League game thus far this season during which he gave away a penalty against Southampton.
He was on the bench for the Hammers last game against Newcastle this weekend and this is said to have alerted Palace, who are looking to bolster their defense for this season.
Frank de Boer’s side had been hoping to secure a permanent deal for Mamadou Sakho after he spent the second half of last season on loan at Selhurst Park and helped them avoid relegation.
However the price which the Reds have placed on the Frenchman is said to have turned Palace off. It remains to be seen if a deal will go ahead.
