Wolves reportedly set to sell midfielder for £1million

According to reports, David Edwards is on the verge of leaving Wolves after the club accepted a £1 million fee from Reading.

Edwards has been on the fringes of the first team for Wolves under Nuno Espirito Santo so far this season and it is likely that he would not have played regularly.

Should the deal go ahead as expected, Edwards will become the second Wolves player to join the Royal this summer after Jon Dadi Bodvarsson joined in a deal worth £3 million.

Wolves meanwhile could be set to an interesting final week of the transfer window. They are said to be wanting to recruit another striker as well as another left back to provide competition and cover to Barry Douglas.

Wolves are pushing to launch a Premier League promotion push this season and it appears that they are prepared to go all out as they try to achieve their goal.
