Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he sees a lot of himself in his club’s new signing Davinson Sanchez and he also added that he expects the Colombian to become a hit in the Premiership.
Sanchez completed his move from Ajax to Spurs on Wednesday for £42 million and a lot is now expected of him.
He impressed for the Dutch club last season, helping them reach the final of the Europa League where they lost to Manchester United.
Pochettino certainly thinks very highly of the youngster and said, “I think he’s young, but he won the Copa Libertadores with his team in Colombia.
“He played regularly at Ajax. Played the final against Manchester United. I think he’s young but with amazing history and background. I like his personality and how he is aggressive, he is fast, he will fit for us very well.”
Sanchez is a highly rated young talent and he is the type of player that the North London club will need to recruit if they want to end their nine year trophy drought.
