Aston Villa complete high profile signing

Robert Snodgrass has joined Aston Villa on loan from West Ham. Snodgrass failed to establish himself at the London Stadium after moving to the Hammers in January from Hull City and will now look revive his career at Villa.

He was deemed surplus to requirements by Slaven Bilic at the beginning of the season and did not feature in any of West Ham’s match day squads.

As the 29-year-old has experience playing in the Championship and excelling, he will be a good addition to the Villains.

Steve Bruce will be hoping that the Scotland international can help his side improve after a rather disappointing start to this season.

Following the move, Snodgrass said, “I am delighted to join. I have had offers from other clubs but it was an easy decision to come here. You see the name Aston Villa with all its history, tradition, fanbase and it’s a place you want to come to.

“Seeing it in the Championship doesn’t look right. I want to be part of that journey back up to the Premier League. I am raring to go.”
