West Ham reportedly lineup quality alternative for Carvalho in £14million-rated 23-year-old midfield powerhouse

As per Independent, West Ham are getting impatient on the deal to bring Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho to London having been frustrated by the Portuguese’ transfer fees’ games.

As a result, the Hammers are readying to shift focus on Sunderland’s Didier N’dong, and could submit a late bid for the 23-year-old once the move for Carvalho breaks down.

N’dong was one of the few bright spots for the Black Cats last season, and an opportunity to continue playing Premier League football could convince the Gabonese into agreeing to a move.

Sunderland secured a £13.6million move for the tough-tackling midfielder from Lorient last summer, and letting him go wouldn’t be a decision they are likely to easily agree to, as they hope to return to the topflight next term.

Were he to be signed, N’dong could prove to be the quality enforcer Hammers boss Slaven Bilic requires in the middle of the park.

He has unbelievable athleticism, an enviable work rate, and could help them to their desired top 10 finish on the EPL log.

With a season of Premier League football already gotten him acclimatized to the required style and level of football, N’dong has a chance of being an already-made material for the West Ham midfield job, as opposed to Carvalho who might need time learning the ropes.
