Tottenham handed transfer boost as £25million-rated full-back reportedly prefers Spurs to other suitors

As per ESPN, Fulham teenage sensation Ryan Sessegnon is reportedly keen on a switch to north London to join Tottenham should the Championship outfit agree to sell him.

Manchester United, like Spurs, have long kept tabs on the 17-year-old left-back, and are said to be more than willing to meet his £25million valuation.

However, Fulham won’t readily give up holding firmly to their academy product who attracted plaudits for his displays last term.

Tottenham are known for their love for landing promising youngsters, and with the future of Danny Rose in doubt, the “next Gareth Bale” would be a perfect long-term addition.

Despite playing at left-back last term, Sessegnon bagged 7 goals in 30 appearances for the Championship outfit.

The outstanding ability of the England youth international to also play anywhere down the left flanks has already earned him deserved comparison with the aforementioned former Spurs.

That Sessegnon is attracting a perfectionist like Reds Devils boss Jose Mourinho speaks volume, but going by track record, he would be the perfect student under manager Mauricio Pochettino’s tutelage.

Getting him this summer or the ones to come would be an added boost to Spurs defence, but convincing Fulham to let go of a rare gem won’t be piece of cake.
