Rangers reportedly second-favourites to sign 44-goal striker who fired his club to the EPL

According to Bet Victor, Rangers are the second most favorites to secure the services of Huddersfield Town striker Nahki Wells, as manager Pedro Caixinha is keen on adding another forward to his frontline despite recently signing Alfredo Morelos.

The Gers are given a 6/1 odds by the bookmarkers to snap up the Bermuda international, and could make a switch happen in the coming days.

Wolves are also said to be keen on Wells whom the newly-promoted outfit are willing to let go.

The former League Two striking ace played a huge role en route Huddersfield’s promotion’s playoffs last season, scoring 10 goals in 43 appearances to help them secure a Premier League berth.

Upper campaign, Wells bagged 17 strikes in 44 league fixtures and has proven his worth in front of goal in his 4 seasons in the Championship, netting 44 goals across 143 league outings.

However, the procurement of new signings at the John Smith’s Stadium means he has somewhat become deemed as surplus to requirements, but the Ibrox would more than welcome him with opened arms should a move be secured.

The 27-year-old is currently in his prime, and Huddersfield’s loss could be Rangers’ gain as they could do with such quality striker this season and going forward.

Holding on to at least 2nd spot on the Scottish Premiership log come May 2018 is of utmost importance to Rangers, and in Wells, they could successfully acquire a striker that is far more than capable of doing exactly the needed job.
