Aston Villa midfielder receives international recognition

Aston Villa’s on-loan midfielder Josh Onomah has received a call-up to the England under-21 side.

The youngster, who is on loan with the Villains from Tottenham, has been rewarded for helping the England under-20 side win the World Cup in South Korea this summer.

He will be hoping to learn as much as he can this season under Steve Bruce this season in order to prepare himself for Premier League football with Tottenham next term.

Onomah will join twelve other players who were part of the victorious under-20 team in the squad, though his Villa team-mate Jack Grealish who is out of action through injury is out of action until Christmas.

England under-21’s are set to take on the Netherlands on Friday 1st September and play against Latvia at the Vitality Stadium four days later.

This experience will no doubt benefit Onomah and he can use the opportunity of international football to continue his learning process.
