According to reports, West Ham United are not willing to let striker Andy Carroll join Newcastle on loan this season but may be willing to let him go on a permanent transfer.
Recently, speculation has emerged suggesting that the Magpies are looking to sign Carroll on a loan deal as they look to bolster their attack and provide competition for Dwight Gayle.
After joining the Hammers in 2013, Carroll was expected to deliver for the East London club. His time with the team has however been plagued with injuries which has reduced him to just 74 appearances.
After showing some promising form, the towering striker left Newcastle to join Liverpool six years ago for £35 million. He moved to the Hammers after his time with the Reds did not go according to plan.
With Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic now at West Ham, Carroll may slip down the pecking order at the club and it remains to be seen though if they will find a buyer for him.
