Winston Reid has signed a new six year contract with West Ham. The New Zealand international has established himself as a key part of the Hammers team and it comes as no surprise that the club have offered him a new deal which will see him remain at the London Stadium until 2023.
The 29-year old joined the East London outfit from Midtjylland in 2010 and has gone on to make 204 appearances and scored 10 goals.
Reid is currently one of the more experienced players in the Hammers squad and will be able to offer advice to younger players from within the squad.
He was happy about the signing of the new contract and said, “I’m pleased we’ve got it sorted so I’m obviously looking forward to the seasons ahead. It’s going to be a big amount of time I’ve spent at the club and I’m looking forward to it.
“I’ve been here a long time now. I think with the business we’ve done over this summer and the players we had here before, I think we can go on to have a good season and seasons ahead. It’s all about trying to get better.”
