Marko Arnautovic has decided to change his West Ham shirt number from 27 to 7. This came after the number 7 jersey became vacant following the departure of Sofiane Feghouli to Turkish club Galatasary.
Upon arrival at the London Stadium, Arnautovic chose the number 27 jersey, which he wore during his team’s 4-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United last weekend.
However once Feghouli departed, he chose the number 7 jersey, which he also donned for former club Werder Bremen as well as the Austrian national team.
West Ham have responded to this transition by offering fans, who already bought the number 27 shirt an option to change the shirt number.
There is no doubt that Hammers fans will have heavy expectations of Arnautovic for the season ahead. They will expect him to score many goals in order for the clubs fortunes to improve and the player will also know that he will have to work hard to deliver.
