One of the biggest stories surrounding the English Championship right now is the status of striker Chris Wood at Leeds United.
The New Zealand man, who scored impressively at the Confederations Cup in the summer, has been linked with a number of clubs.
One of those clubs was Burnley, with the striker apparently upset at not being able to move as of yet. However, the club looks to hold him there for longer, or at the very least to get a better price by signing him to a new contract.
According to Sky Sources, Leeds want to sign him up for three more years.
Wood has been one of the best strikers in the Championship for the last couple of years, as he has started to live up to his potential that was oh so promising.
Leeds have a very good team right now, and they know their chances with him are great to finish in the top six.
However, it’s very unlikely he will sign this and put all of this to bed. There are still nearly two weeks left in the window, and you just get the feeling there will be a sting in the tail that throws this all up in the air all over again.
