To say that Aston Villa’s season has started poorly would be a true understatement. This is especially true given how they turned out at the end of last season.
With a very real possibility that they could once again be left out of the running for a possible promotion berth, Villa need help- and soon.
Manager Steve Bruce has confirmed today that he is interested in bringing in a new striker, according to the Birmingham Mail.
Speaking about Southampton man Sam Gallagher, Bruce said “He interests us yes,” but also noted that “every club in the Championship has been linked with him.”
This comes at a time where a new striker is desperately needed after a fresh injury to Scott Hogan. The former Brentford man now joins the prolific Jonathan Kodija on the injury list, prompting this discussion.
Gallagher, apparently, will be available on loan, and it looks to be well worth the gamble by Villa as they are in a bad way without.
For now, it will be on Gabby Agbonlahor to lead the line, and that could either be good or bad- you just never, ever know.
