Tottenham’s form will not be affected due to Danny Rose comments says ex-captain

Former Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has said that the recent controversial comments made by Danny Rose will not affect the club’s form.

Rose caused controversy last week when he claimed that Spurs players do not earn enough and that the club should start signing players that one “does not have to google”.

Recent reports have suggested that the comments made by the 27-year-old Rose have led to unrest within the squad, however Dawson is adamant that it will not result in the clubs form declining and said, “Danny is a great lad and I played with him for many years at Tottenham.

“Danny is not scared of voicing his opinion and he has said [sorry] about the timing, two days before the first game of the season. But looking at Spurs [last weekend], certainly when Newcastle went down to 10 men.

“The way they play when Christian Eriksen gets on the ball with Dele Alli running in behind… when they get into a flow, they’re a joy to watch.”
