According to reports, Tottenham are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez.
The 23-year-old Suarez may be set to fall down the pecking order at the Catalan giants after they recently completed the signing of Brazilian Paulinho.
Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo have listed Italian club Napoli as being the favorites to lure Suarez though Spurs may hijack the deal. Suarez has a €40 million release clause in his contract and Napoli are willing to offer €35 million.
Given the midfield talent that Spurs currently have available to them, it is very hard to see them following up with this intently. Napoli will be the clear frontrunners to complete the signing of the player and if Tottenham do end up signing him, it will certainly come as a major surprise.
Spurs fans can however prepare themselves for interesting times as they are bound to make new signings over the coming days.
