According to reports, Chelsea have slowed down talks with Newcastle about a loan deal for Kenedy due to concerns over their squad size.
The Brazilian is expected to join the Magpies on loan before the end of the transfer window. He damaged his reputation at the defending Premier League Champions during pre-season by posting material on social media platform Instagram, which was offensive to China.
Though the 21-year-old has since apologized for his actions, both club and player earned criticism, Conte was forced to name the youngster on the bench during his side’s weekend 3-2 defeat against Burnley due to the lack of players available to them.
The Blues are looking to add reinforcements to their side and it appears that Kenedy will only be sent out on loan once this happens.
Despite this, the player is still expected to eventually join the Magpies before the end of the summer transfer window. He will be required to prove that he can compete at the highest level.
